Privacy policy & booking terms

Confidentiality & Privacy

At the initial session I ask you to complete an intake form regarding your health and medical history. The information requested on the intake form and the session notes I take are essential for me to provide treatment with due respect for your safety and well-being.

I fully respect your privacy, and any information you provide and everything that you say or do during our sessions will be treated in the strictest confidence, and I will not share it with others without your consent except if required to do so by law or to protect my rights or for significant reasons of public safety. Your records will only be used for the purposes of healthcare treatment, and will be destroyed 5 years after treatment ends.

To ensure that you receive the best possible standard of practice I may from time to time discuss your treatment with my clinical supervisor, who will not be given any of your personal identifying details.

It is important that you inform me of any significant past or present medical or psychological conditions as these may affect your suitability for treatment. If you are unsure or have any concerns you should seek advice from your GP or consultant. If you book further sessions you must mention any significant health issues that arise, especially if you know or the possibility exists that you may be pregnant or have any contagious or infectious condition. Please do not attend sessions while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Cancellation & Non-attendance policy

If you need to cancel a session, no fee is due if more than 48 hours' notice is given. If you give less than 48 hours' notice of cancellation the full fee is payable. If you fail to attend a session without notice, the full fee is payable. Please arrive on time for your session. If you arrive late I will endeavour to give you the full amount of time, but this may not always be possible. If this happens, the full fee is still payable.

Comfort & Respect

Please mention during the session if anything feels painful or uncomfortable or if the treatment is not how you would like it. I reserve the right to terminate a session in the event of abusive or inappropriate behaviour.
